SMS Settings - Short URL

Short URL is a simple method that takes a long URL and turns it into a shorter URL. 

Link shortening is extremely important in SMS marketing, because space is imported, as you’re limited to 140-characters in an SMS message. As an SMS marketer, you definitely don’t want all the characters in your SMS message being used for a URL, hence the need for a link shortener.

We've two option for shortening the URL

• With brand

• Without brand

With brand - All the URLs will be converted into shortening URLs with your domain name. The format will be as follows.

https://{{yourdomainname}}.csapp.io/xxxxxx

Example : https://abcpvtltd.csapp.io/V4fA6

Without a brand - Even we can short the URL without your brand. The format will be as follows

https://csapp.io/xxxxx

Example : https://csapp.io/T78Hji

We recommend our customers to use the short URL with their brand option. It will be more relevant when their customer receives the SMS from them. 

To configure Short URL, please follow the steps.

1. Click “User Icon” which is in the right top corner of the application.

2. Select “Settings” from the list

3. Click “SMS Settings”

4. Click “Short URL”

5. Choose the method of short URL

6. Click “Save Settings”
